Anouk Bergh is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist and poet who works in the field of visual arts, theatre and performance.
In her practice she transcends disciplinary boundaries exploring their limitations and correlations between medium as a tool and its influence on the artistic vision, its realisation and the ultimate direction it takes.
Anouk also places storytelling as a central point of her work. With keen interest in traditional approach to story as a preservation of social identity and a bridge between tangible reality and imaginative creations of a human mind.
Cutting across multiple disciplines and mediums she examines the dynamics of total opposites, of two extreme ends of the same matter and how, despite being contradictory to each other, they merge into one.
In parallel relation to that, she delves into the topics of multidimensionality of man and the world around him. How nothing is the way it seems to be, the ethereal game of appearances and man's subconscious longing for illusion.
She gets to the heart of the matter by successively uncovering its many layers and examining each of them, fascinated by the process of unraveling the truth hidden underneath.
